Best Time to Visit

If you want to fully enjoy Isshiki Beach, summer is the best time to visit!

The sea opening takes place every year on July 1st, and the beach houses begin their business.

For swimming in the sea, we recommend visiting before August 13th, as many jellyfish appear after the Obon period (August 13th to 16th).

Additionally, Obon in Japan is a time to welcome the spirits of our ancestors, and it is believed that the spirits return to this world including from the sea. Therefore, it is best to avoid swimming during the Obon period as much as possible.
