3rd (Wed): Tokyo City Pop Fireworks

This fireworks and music festival features a different theme each year. This year, City Pop, a genre born in Japan in the 1970s, will entertain you along with colourful fireworks.

20th (Sat): Adachi Fireworks

The spectacle of about 13,000 fireworks being launched non-stop in one hour is truly awe-inspiring.

23rd (Tue): Katsushika Noryo Fireworks Festival

The launch venue is close to the audience seats, allowing you to experience the fireworks even more realistically.

27 (Sat): Sumida River Fireworks Festival

It is the oldest and one of the largest fireworks festivals in Japan. Summer in Tokyo doesn't begin without this spectacular hanabi display!

27 (Sat): Tachikawa Festival National Showa Kinen Park Fireworks Festival

You can see huge fireworks here that are hard to find in other areas of Tokyo. You can watch fireworks while relaxing on the vast lawn.

August 2024

 

3rd (Sat): Itabashi Fireworks Festival / Todabashi Fireworks Festival

A joint fireworks display between Itabashi City and Toda City is held along the Arakawa River. The Niagara Falls firework, one of the largest in the Kanto area, is a must-see.

12th (Mon): Koto Fireworks Festival

Although it is small in scale, it is a popular fireworks display that is easy to see from outside the main venue. You can enjoy the striking contrast between the continuous fireworks and the city’s night view.

24th (Sat): Edogawa Fireworks Festival / Ichikawa Citizen Noryo Fireworks Festival

The festival begins with the Edogawa specialty: the launch of 1,000 fireworks in just 5 seconds. Spectacular displays continue until the grand finale. You can enjoy an up-close view of the fireworks from the riverbed.
