Atami Bay, the fireworks venue, is the best fireworks display venue in Japan. This is because the area is surrounded by mountains on three sides, causing the fireworks sound to echo throughout the venue and creating a stadium-like atmosphere.
A spectacular finale
At the finale, a large number of fireworks are launched at high speed throughout the venue, filling the night sky of Atami with bursts of light and making it as bright as daytime. Consequently, this finale is sure to take your breath away.
Where to watch fireworks
The first section of the Atami water park, located in front of the fireworks display venue, serves as a public viewing area that anyone can enter. However, it is very popular and tends to get crowded. Alternatively, I recommend Atami Sun Beach because it offers a view of the entire fireworks venue and is relatively less crowded, allowing you to enjoy the fireworks more relaxed.
Moreover, Atami Sun Beach is also a popular beach, so if you visit the fireworks festival in summer, I recommend enjoying swimming during the day and watching the fireworks at night.

Atami Station is easily accessible from Tokyo Station by train or Shinkansen. Therefore, you can choose whichever option suits your budget and schedule.
